The Fillmore — know before you go
Is The Fillmore wheelchair accessible (ADA access)?+
The Fillmore is a fully accessible GA venue. The main floor is on the second story, reached by an elevator on the west side of the building (staff can direct you), and all venue bathrooms are accessible. No special ticket is required: buy a standard GA ticket and email thefillmore@livenation.com or call 415.346.3000 in advance if you need accommodation or seating. Seating is very limited and first-come, first-served. Service animals are welcome; sign-language interpreters can be arranged with about two weeks' notice.
Does The Fillmore have seating, or is it standing room?+
Primarily standing-room general admission on an open ballroom floor. Seating is very limited. There is an upstairs balcony with a bar and limited first-come seating overlooking the stage — arrive early to claim a spot. Wear comfortable shoes.
Is The Fillmore all ages?+
Generally all ages: events are restricted to ages 5 and up and everyone needs a ticket. Some shows are 16+ or 18+, so check the specific event listing. You must be 21+ with valid photo ID to buy alcohol.
What time do shows start and end at The Fillmore?+
Doors typically open one hour before the show's scheduled start (per the official site). Exact opener and headliner stage times vary by show and aren't published — check your event listing. As a rough guide, headliners often go on around 9pm and shows tend to wrap by roughly 11pm–midnight, but treat that as an estimate, not an official schedule.
Can I avoid ticket fees at the The Fillmore box office?+
The box office is at the venue entrance (1805 Geary Blvd), open on show days from 30 minutes before doors until 9pm, plus Sundays 10am–2pm (excluding holidays). Buying in person avoids online service/convenience fees. The venue is cashless — cash can be converted to a card at the box office at no charge.
What are the bar, drink, and re-entry policies at The Fillmore?+
Bars serve beer, wine, and cocktails, with some on-site food. 21+ with valid ID to drink. Re-entry is NOT permitted — once you leave you can't return without a new ticket. Free water stations are on both floors.
Where can I park near The Fillmore, and how do I get there?+
No on-site lot. Use street parking or the nearby Japantown garages at 1650 Fillmore St and 1610 Geary Blvd (both have accessible spaces), a ~5-minute walk. Leave nothing visible in your car. Transit: the 38 Geary and 22 Fillmore Muni lines stop out front with all-night Owl service; the 38 connects toward BART.
Are there VIP or premium seating options at The Fillmore?+
Some shows offer premium/VIP options, including the upper-level VIP Box with the best views and table service. Availability varies by event and appears on the seating map at livenation.com or thefillmore.com when offered.
